Hi, I’m Denise—the creator behind Sunbeams & Whiskers.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I was raised with a deep respect for them and a strong belief in rescuing, caring for, and making space for all creatures. That connection to animals and to nature shapes everything I create here.

At Sunbeams & Whiskers, every piece is designed and created by me in small batches, with care given to both how it looks and how it fits into real, everyday life. I’m drawn to rich color, playful contrast, and details that feel expressive and alive—whether I’m creating colorful accessories for pets and people, home fragrance, or small everyday goods meant to be used and enjoyed.

My love of creating was passed down to me by my mother, Lynn, and stayed dormant for many years, only recently resurfacing. Most days, I create with Juniper and Oliver nearby, keeping me company and often providing welcome distraction. Thank you for being here and for supporting small business.
